A crowded painting with a biblical theme that takes us approximately 2000 years back. It is focused on the characters of people who probably gathered these times under the olive trees of the Galilean hillsides in the company of Jesus of Nazareth. What was it like in the beginning, before all the dramas culminating in the crucifixion unfolded. I wanted to capture some of the bliss that I believe was present in the souls of all those present at that time and paint such a positive picture for reflection and contemplation. It touches on spirituality, which can expand our lives by another beautiful dimension, but at the same time can become an easy tool for manipulation. And while painting, I thought a lot about spirituality and faith, but also about free spiritual growth in contrast to religious dogmas and sectarianism.
